About UCI Health — Irvine
At UCI Health, we don’t just practice medicine, we create it. Now, we are writing the next chapter for healthcare in Orange County. With the UCI Medical Center in Irvine, UCI Health will bring our patients unparalleled expertise, leading-edge treatments and the finest evidence-based care that only an academic medical system can offer.
The 800,000-square-foot medical campus will be anchored by a state-of-the-art hospital, which will offer 24-hour emergency care and personalized cancer treatments, including hundreds of clinical trials from our NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. Our world-renowned experts will also deliver exceptional care in other specialties, such as digestive diseases, neurosciences and orthopaedics, all powered by the University of California. We stop at nothing to build a healthier tomorrow.
Coming in 2024: The Joe C. Wen & Family Center for Advanced Care
Supported by a $20 million gift from Joe C. Wen and his family — the largest gift to UCI Health by a donor under age 50 and among the largest-ever gifts to UCI — the Joe C. Wen & Family Center for Advanced Care will bring specialty clinical expertise closer to coastal and south Orange County residents on the UCI campus.
The five-story, 168,000-square-foot outpatient facility on Jamboree Road will offer adult and pediatric specialty care, urgent care, digestive health, neurosciences and comprehensive laboratory and radiology imaging services in one convenient location.
Children and adults will benefit from one-stop outpatient healthcare. The Center for Children’s Health will consolidate primary and specialty pediatric services in one easily accessible facility.
The building also will be the new home of the Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders, providing hope and help to individuals living with autism spectrum disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
Healthcare’s next chapter
At UCI Health, our promise is always to advance the care that improves the health and well-being of our community. We proudly honor this commitment with our planned expansion into the rapidly growing region of coastal Orange County.
The UCI Health Outpatient Pavilion, to be located at the intersection of Jamboree Road and Campus Drive, will be home to the Center for Children’s Health, adult specialty care, urgent care and other much-needed services for the entire family. Scheduled for completion in late 2022, this state-of-the-art location is the first of a larger health offering, which will give residents greater accessibility to UCI’s world-class physicians, multidisciplinary care and university-backed clinical research.
World-class care near you
Convenience matters. We are making it easier for you to get the best care possible, while shortening your travel time. The UCI Medical Center in Irvine will provide south Orange County residents with access to a 24-hour emergency room; leading-edge cancer treatments and clinical trials from our NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center; and exceptional care by world-renowned experts in specialties, such neurosciences, orthopaedics, and digestive health.
The power of academic medicine
The union of discovery, teaching and healing has enabled UCI Health to pioneer new therapies and techniques that have been adopted by institutions across the nation. It gives us the expertise to diagnose and treat exceedingly rare conditions and diseases, always with the least invasive methods possible. Most important, it means that you and your family have access to the highest quality, knowledge-driven care.
Unifying research, training and care
The new medical complex — combined with the current construction of the Susan & Henry Samueli College of Health Sciences and the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing — will be the realization of a long-held dream to unify medical services, research and training on the university campus, and a complement to the services offered at the flagship UCI Medical Center campus in Orange.
